This oil cooler radiator is lifted straight from our motorsport department, so we know this component not only performs well, but the core is durable enough to withstand race applications. Once we had this, the next step was to design a kit incorporating this core which will fit the Elantra N perfectly. The result is a bespoke oil cooler kit with true motorsport development behind it. During our time developing new products for the Hyundai 2.0 G4KH Theta engine we found a significant weakness, especially when tuned. Oil temperatures can climb to dangerous levels when on track or when driven hard in hotter climates. The rising oil temperature changes the viscosity of the oil causing it to potentially thin, which will result in only one outcome, a reduction of sufficient lubrication of your engines internal components. Therefore, FMOC15 is a must have product for the keen driver. The oil sandwich plate developed especially for this kit has thermostatic control at 90°C and there are two threaded ports to add oil pressure and temperature sensors if required. The location of the oil cooler at the front of the vehicle’s radiator grill allows for superior air flow, and during development of this product we have seen oil temperatures reduced significantly. We supply this kit with a low-profile high efficiency oil filter, which can be purchased separately for service intervals. Unlike many oil cooler kits, the FMOC15 keeps the factory oil to water cooler in position. This essentially doubles your engines oil cooling. FMOC15 has a laser cut aluminium bracket which makes for perfect fitment to the Elantra N crash bar. Manufactured in Gloucester UK, FMOC15 is made to the uppermost standard and is backed up by the Forge Motorsport Lifetime warranty, it is available in black powder coat finish for the stealthy look. This part has been developed in conjunction with our work on the BTCC championship winning Hyundai i30N's - read more here The FMCT5 is a direct replacement for the OE coolant expansion tank. The CAD laser cut alloy construction is skilfully welded at Forge UK HQ. The expansion tank has a level indicator inside the filler neck, to make topping up easier, we have also machined a cap cover that slots over the top of the OEM cap to add to the premium look. The twin catch can system is the definitive solution to effectively reduce sludge and carbon build up, in turn allowing the engine to both breathe and perform more efficiently. It can therefore be viewed as a genuine performance enhancing product and one, we recommend, particularly if you are planning more advanced power tuning in the future. Our system filters both PCV and intake breather systems to help keep your engine clean from harmful contaminants, including oil deposits, unused fuel vapours and moisture, which would ordinarily make their way back through to the inlet of the engine. All of this is now collected in the catch cans. There is a dip stick for each tank to measure the amount of deposit caught, this opening can also be used to pump out the captured contaminants or alternately you can use the drain plugs at the bottom of the tanks. As with all Forge Motorsport products we have used superior braided hoses which are internally constructed from anti-static smooth fuel resistant nitrile rubber. This is combined with an outer cover made from reinforced stainless-steel wire braid (a Forge specialty), specifically a partial inner braid and a full cover outer braid. We developed this complex arrangement in order for the tank to be resistant to both pressure expansion and vacuum collapse, and also to enable the kit to function within a clearly defined temperature range – 54°C to +150°C (-65°F to 300°F). FMCT5 has now been developed to be compatible with Hyundai Veloster N and Kona N, as well as still fitting the i30N Mk3, and Mk3.5 (facelift). This product is available in raw aluminium finish or our stealthy textured black powder coat finish. The cooler has now also been utilised in both of our other Hyundai oil cooling solutions and cleverly redesigned for a 100% plug and play solution for the Kona N. During our time developing world leading products for the Kona N, we found a significant flaw with the vehicle, especially when tuned, just as we did with the I30N. Oil temperatures can climb to dangerous levels when on track or when driven hard in hotter climates. Rising oil temperatures will result in only one outcome: a reduction of sufficient lubrication of your engines internal components, which, in due course, can potentially lead to engine damage. We saw oil temperatures reduce significantly during the development of this product when locating the oil cooler heat exchanger at the front of the vehicle’s radiator grill, this allowed for superior air flow. FMOC14 is a must-have product for the keen driver to protect their vehicles longevity, and perform safely and reliably. Unlike many oil cooler kits on the market, FMOC14 keeps the factory oil to water cooler in position - this essentially doubles your engines oil cooling. This product is not to be confused with a universal oil cooler, FMOC14 has a laser cut aluminium bracket which makes for perfect fitment to the Kona N. The kit is completely bespoke for this vehicle, with perfect length braided oil lines and our intelligent sandwich plate design making for a straightforward installation. The oil cooler is also designed to be mounted in the most efficient way possible as shown in the diagram below. This is to avoid oil cavitation which can also in some cases lead to potential engine damage over a long period of time. We have now added an extra hose in the kit so it is now compatible with both the manual and DCT transmission vehicles. This is currently the only silicone coolant kit which offers this fitment on the Hyundai platform. With the use of 3 ply silicone construction this hose kit will withstand pressures that can be experienced on tuned and remapped engines.
