The Eventuri BMW G90 / G99 M5 S68 Carbon Turbo Inlet Set is engineered to reduce airflow restriction immediately before the twin turbochargers, improving the efficiency of the intake path on BMW's S68-powered M5. Developed for the G90 M5 Sedan and G99 M5 Touring, the enlarged carbon fiber inlets maintain a greater internal diameter through the inlet tract to provide the turbochargers with a less restrictive supply of air, particularly as airflow and boost demands increase.
The factory S68 turbo inlets taper shortly after the intake connection, creating a reduction in cross-sectional area before airflow reaches the turbochargers. While sufficient for the standard configuration, this section can become increasingly restrictive as airflow demand rises. Eventuri addresses this bottleneck by maintaining a larger internal diameter throughout the inlet length, increasing the available airflow path to the compressor inlets.
Rather than simply increasing inlet size, Eventuri carefully developed the internal geometry to maintain smooth airflow transitions. Gradual curvature through the carbon inlet sections helps minimize turbulence and pressure loss, while the final diameter reduction is incorporated within precision CNC-machined turbo flanges. This creates a controlled transition into the turbochargers without the abrupt changes in cross-section commonly found in oversized inlet designs.
By reducing restriction ahead of the turbochargers, the Eventuri Carbon Turbo Inlets are designed to improve compressor efficiency and help the S68 turbos reach target boost more effectively. The benefits become increasingly important on tuned and higher-boost applications where the turbochargers require a greater mass of incoming air, while stock and lightly modified vehicles also benefit from the improved inlet geometry.
Each inlet is manufactured from pre-preg carbon fiber and paired with precision CNC-machined turbo flanges for accurate integration with the factory turbochargers. In addition to increasing airflow capacity, the carbon construction replaces another section of the factory induction system and visually complements Eventuri's G9X M5 Carbon Intake System.
