E210 True Catch Can System

from $415.00

This is the first and only true catch can system designed specifically for the E210 Corolla!

The PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) system on these cars has a one way valve between the intake manifold and cylinder head that uses vacuum from the intake manifold to pull pressure from the engine crank case into the intake system which helps with efficiency of the engine. The problem is that along with the pressure its relieving its bringing a lot of oil vapor into the intake manifold as well. If you take the hose from the valve cover to the intake tube off its going to be bone dry 99% of the time and the generic catch can systems that just put the can between the valve cover and the intake hose will never see a drop of oil. Yet when you take the intake manifold off you will see oil dripping out of the intake runners and coating the inside of the cylinder head. 99% of the nasty crap from the PCV system on these cars comes from that valve between the intake manifold and cylinder head.

But we made a proper solution! Most catch can systems on all other cars put the can between the PCV valve and the intake manifold to catch this oil vapor, but unfortunately with the way this PCV system was designed you can’t do that. So what we did was design a plug to put in place of the PCV valve which completely blocks that, and instead reroute the crankcase pressure out of the custom vented oil cap we designed. Both the oil cap and the valve cover breather route to the catch can and then the can routes back to the intake tube so the vacuum from that pulls the pressure out of the crankcase without the oil coming with it and gumming everything up.

In addition to this being the only catch can system on the market to address the issue, we put the can in an out of the way spot that allows you to easily drain the can. We mounted the catch can right behind the front bumper under the driver side headlight. With this location you can drain the can by undoing the 3 10mm bolts holding the front flap of the inner fender liner, pulling that flap back and simply twisting the valve open. No need to take the can out of the car every time you need to drain it and it is right down there with you every time you change your oil so you can drain it into the same spot as your old used oil.

When making this catch can system we went with the best materials we could find as we are all about quality and fit and finish. We understand that not everyone needs the best materials and may simply want a product that works. With that being said, we made 2 versions! They’re exactly the same as far as functionality goes. One is just made with rubber hose and push on fittings and the other is made with Vibrant Performance high quality braided lines with high end reusable hose end fittings. If you’re looking for that extra flair to your engine bay at shows or car meets or even just for you to look at then the braided lines are definitely the way to go. If you just want to keep that oil where it belongs and not in your intake manifold then the rubber hose will definitely be more than sufficient for what you need.

These are made to order and have a 2-4 week lead time. We strive to get these made and sent out asap though and will always do what we can to get these shipped out in a timely manner.
